Sales Support Specialist

The Sales Support Specialist is responsible for support of new business and retention sales agents. They are
tasked with ensuring timely and accurate data and research preparedness for sales meetings, as well as
providing post-appointment plan enrollment support.

General Position Description

• Accurate transfer of each day’s incoming data into the CRM system
• Enter prospect, client, and plan data into the CRM system, including updated provider and prescription information
• Ensure integrity of the data entered into company databases and assist with data projects as needed
• Research provider and prescription information to assist in plan recommendations for prospects and clients
• Process incoming enrollments from the Sales and Client Engagement teams
• Track and resolve pending enrollments in a timely manner, communicating with insurance carriers as appropriate
• Monitor team email boxes to ensure timely responses to inquiries
• Perform all sales support activities with accuracy and speed
• Submit enrollments to insurance carriers and follow-up on their status until they are approved
• Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail to ensure timely processing
• Perform data cleanup projects as needed

Education, Skills and Experience Requirements

• Administrative and/or clerical experience in an office setting preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, including Word and Excel
• Comfortable navigating the Internet and learning new systems, tools, and/or technologies as needed
• Strong communication skills – verbal, written, and listening
• Attention to detail
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload
• Ability to vocalize concerns/questions
• Ability to work both independently and within a team to accomplish department goals
• Takes initiative appropriate for the position
• Adaptable to continued evolution of roles and company needs
